Lambeth Labour Party Borough Organiser
Salary: £24500-28000 or pro rata based on experience
Fixed term contract with the possibility of renewal

Lambeth Council is currently run by a Liberal Democrat – Conservative coalition. Labour is the biggest party on the Council and fully intends to regain control in May 2006. We have been running a vigorous campaign for the past two years but now we need to step up another gear. We are looking for an experienced, talented and highly motivated organiser who can make sure that we maximise our campaigning effort and focus our activity in the right places.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full range of campaigning activities in Lambeth working towards the Local Elections in May 2006.

Applicants should have proven organisational and motivational ability, computer and literature skills. They should also have experience of campaign organising within the Labour Party or a similar organisation, be self motivated, enthusiastic, committed, with a good knowledge of the party and its policies. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.

Full time and part time applications considered. The organiser will be based in Lambeth working closely with the three constituency Labour Parties and with our 29 Councillors.
