He doesn’t own a car, he doesn’t live in Lambeth – so the Lib Dems put Councillor Andrew Sawdon in charge of Lambeth’s car parking policy.

Since Councillor Sawdon signed a contract with Control Plus, which included financial incentives that mean that wardens are under pressure to hand out at least 12 tickets for every eight hour shift, the council has been inundated with complaints about over-zealous ticketing.
