After voting to retain financial incentives within the Control Plus contract, Clapham Town's Tory Councillor Bernard Gentry and his Tory - Lib Dem colleagues, who run the council, are laughing all the way to the bank.

At the same time Lambeth drivers with their friends and family, pay the price of the unfair parking contract as over-zealous wardens issue unfair parking tickets in order to meet their daily targets.

Lambeth businesses are also paying the price as customers go elsewhere to avoid the Lambeth Parking Tax.

But Bernard may have underestimated residents anger . He might be looking for something else to do following the council elections in May 2006.
