Labour makes Life easier for families in Stockwell

Life is about to get easier for children and families in Stockwell, with the opening of a new Children's Centre offering a wide range of services under one roof.

Labour members have sponsored a centre in which all the services for children the ages of 6 months to age 5, will be under one roof. Previously, they had all been scattered, causing local parents trouble with all the traveling. To celebrate the opening, a ceremony will take place from 4-5 pm on October 4.

Labour Councillor Sally Prentice, Lambeth Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services, will unveil a plaque, and Lambeth Executive Director Phyllis Dunipace will speak about the new Centre and about the programme as a whole.

"There are 13 Children's Centres in Lambeth to 13, with a further 11 in the pipeline," said Councillor Prentice. "The services are open to anyone who needs them, and offer valuable and positive help and support for children and families."
